We offer both substance abuse and mental health therapy to clients who live throughout the Driftless Region. Our staff of compassionate, reliable and knowledgeable counselors are capable of working with clients age 13 and up. Individual therapy gives you the one-on-one support you need in early recovery to help you live a happy, healthy, productive life.
We believe that any good recovery model includes your family. We offer your family members the same consistent, confidential and quality care while still maintaining the trust and working relationship we have with you.
Structured outpatient group
The structured outpatient group is an intensive model lasting 12 weeks to help you on your journey through early recovery. We will focus on topics such as symptom identification, trigger identification, coping skills, neurobiology of addiction, the medical model of addiction, 12-step models, relapse planning and prevention.
Men’s and women’s groups
This open process group allows people to gather together to focus on recovery related topics and allows them to share their experience, strength and hope with one another. These gender-specific groups meet one night a week for 2 hours.
Teen Group focuses on the unique stressors that young people face in their lives. Some of the topics we focus on are developmental transitions, substance abuse, communication techniques, goal setting, peer relationships and family. Teen Groups are led by a dual licensed staff member.
“Discovering Mindfulness and Motivation”
If you are a teenager struggling with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, or for those who are just looking for self-improvement, “Discovering Mindfulness and Motivation” is a 12 week program that may be right for you. In this group setting, individuals learn more about themselves and their inherent self-worth. In addition to developing other skills, members are exposed to mindfulness training; learning strategies they can continue to utilize at home long after the program has ended. Mindfulness aids members in being in the moment, diminishing unhelpful self-talk, and finding clarity in their day to day lives. Furthermore, this program propels its members forward into finding purpose and engaging in meaningful activities.
This group will be led by Ms. Megan Litsheim, MS, LPC. Megan is a graduate of Purdue University’s Clinical Psychology program and brings extensive trauma knowledge as a Nationally Certified Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist and experience working with teens in the mental health field.

If necessary, clients will be referred to one of our world-renowned inpatient providing partners. Driftless Recovery Services doesn’t simply write a referral, we take the time to visit each inpatient facility so that we can be sure our clients are receiving the best care available. Building relationships in the nationwide recovering services community is a priority for Driftless Recovery Services. We are always touring and building relationships with new inpatient partners.
Aftercare can begin when a client has returned from an inpatient facility, successfully completed an outpatient program. In addition to providing housing, we continue to partner with other agencies giving us national access to sober supportive housing. We continue to work with the client and family to provide a continuity of care regardless of location, via telephone or video conferencing.
Driftless Recovery Services offers intervention services by our trained intervention staff. Customized to our clients’ needs, we know that no two interventions are the same and that every individual and family system is different. Interventions work on boundary building, communication techniques, how to support your loved one who is suffering and the overall health of the family or group.
